With the festive season upon us, the annual rush to buy gifts is on. While some of you might fancy a weekend break to visit the Christmas markets of continental Europe, others will be looking closer to home. The Urban Makers Christmas Market takes place in London’s Mile End, and brings together more than 100 designers and makers from across the capital.

Some people are harder to buy for than others, especially those with great taste. If you need a gift both imaginative and unique, the Makers market is the place to go. Each of the designers and makers offers items that have small production runs, so there is little chance of finding another person with the same thing.

As millennials continue to place great stock in the idea of uniqueness, finding gifts few people have is a great way to go if you want to keep them happy. Jewelry, stationery, home wares, ceramics and more are available.

While this year’s market took place in early December, plan ahead to attend this unique event next year at Mile End Ecology Pavilion. It is free to attend.
