Most travelers (85 percent) surveyed plan to stay within the United States for their spring travel, with waterfront destinations as the most popular (58 percent). Urban or city getaways are in second place at 31 percent.

Only 10 percent of those surveyed plan to travel for the eclipse in April.
Spring travelers are budget conscious, with 45 percent prioritizing a destination within their budget. A quarter of those surveyed plan to look for special deals and promotions.
Road trips are most popular this year, with 71 percent planning to drive to their final destination. Thirty-six percent of travelers plan to stay in a vacation rental for their accommodations.
Of those not planning a trip this spring, budget-related issues were cited as the top obstacle (57 percent).
