Luxury travel advisor Virtuoso recently revealed its list of wanderlust-worthy travel experiences for 2020. Detailed in the 2020 Virtuoso Luxe Report, these “trips of a lifetime” represent the most unique and exciting experiences for 2020.

  1. Bondi Beach: Sydney, Australia’s, iconic surf spot is a must-see for novice or pro surfers. Waves are smaller at the northern section of the beach, perfect for beginners.
  2. Tokyo: The Japanese city plays host for the 2020 Summer Olympics, taking place July 24–Aug. 9. There are plenty of things to see and do beyond the iconic games.
  3. Tanzania and Kenya: Witness the Great Migration in Africa. Millions of zebras, wildebeest and antelopes migrate looking for food and water while hiding from predators like lions and crocodiles.
  4. Italy: The report ranked Italy as the top global destination for 2020. Immerse yourself in the Italian culture.
  5. Bahamas: Parts of the Bahamas were damaged during Hurricane Dorian. Show your support by traveling to the Bahamas in 2020.
  6. Private Jet: Explore the world through a customizable experience on a private jet, where the dedicated crew assists you with your every need.
  7. Antarctica: Antarctica ranked as the top adventure destination for 2020. Take in the scenic natural beauty of the cold continent.
  8. Panama Canal: Enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience sailing through the manmade Panama Canal.
  9. Rail Travel: See more of your destination on a rail journey. The slower transportation method allows you to see parts of the destination you wouldn’t normally experience.
  10. Tonga: The remote collection of islands in the South Pacific allow you to truly unplug on your trip.

The report is Virtuoso’s annual survey of 20,000 travel advisors from around the world. It predicts travel trends for the year ahead. For more on the report, visit the website.
