For prescription and fashion eyewear, check out Warby Parker’s online collection. Many of the glasses are available for home try-on, making the in-store eyeglass shopping system obsolete. This system allows shoppers to have a more honest reaction and opinion to their glasses rather than feel pressure to choose in the store around sales professionals and strangers.
Warby Parker’s home try-on option is genius and simple. Shoppers choose up to five prescription frames or sunglasses and Warby Parker sends them the glasses for free to their home where they can try them on at their leisure. For five days, shoppers can try on the glasses and get opinions before sending them back. If after the trial they decide to buy, they just find the glasses online, purchase and a new pair will be sent. Not only is Warby Parker innovative in its shopping technique, but also in its sales model. The company started in response to overpriced optical sellers that monopolized the market, leaving little competition for more affordable eyewear until now.
With sunglasses and prescription frames from $95 to $195, there is enough affordable eyewear to choose from for any budget.
Warby Parker also works with non-profits, like Vision Spring and donates a pair of sunglasses to a person in need with every purchase. Buyers can feel good about purchasing from Warby Parker, not only by saving money and time, but also by giving back.
