Tips / Travel

When traveling, it’s best to be as prepared as possible for any unpredictable circumstances, right? The answer is yes, unless your preparedness involves packing your suitcase to the brim with nonessential clutter. When your packing list extends beyond the space capacity of your luggage, it’s time to unpack and leave behind the following items.

Hair dryers/other hair tools

If you’re worried about what your hair looks like while on vacation, are you really enjoying your vacation? Most hotel rooms come equipped with hair dryers. Look at your trip as a chance to try a new hairstyle, one that doesn’t require extra tools.

Five pairs of shoes

As you are planning your holiday, consider which shoes you will absolutely need and which you can do without. The reality is you probably won’t need more than two pairs: a comfortable pair to wear when exploring or hiking, and a nicer/dressier pair to wear to dinner or a formal function.

A carry-on bag and a checked bag

Unless you’re moving to a different continent, you probably won’t need more than one suitcase. You’ll be happy with this decision once you have landed and find yourself lugging your luggage to find your accommodation. Narrow down your packed items to just the essentials.
