Royal Caribbean is known for rolling out big, state-of-the-art cruise ships, and the next ship in the Royal Caribbean pipeline is no exception. Hitting the high seas in August 2025, Star of the Seas will offer itineraries around the Caribbean — and so much more.
An Icon-class ship, Star of the Seas will feature seven pools, including the largest pool at sea yet, Royal Bay pool; others include a pool with a swim-up bar and an adults-only pool. Six record-breaking water slides are also featured.
A new imagining of Royal Caribbean’s AquaDome will provide wrap-around ocean views and a 55-foot-tall water curtain. There are eight neighborhoods spread across the ship, offering plenty of ways to play, plus more than 40 restaurants and bars.
“The idea of combining the best of every type of vacation into one ultimate adventure has created more excitement than ever anticipated, and Star of the Seas will be the next bold answer to the record-breaking consumer demand we’ve seen for nearly a year and counting with Icon of the Seas,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.
Cruisers can now book itineraries aboard Star of the Seas in advance of the ship’s launch.

The travel company’s study focused on the 50 busiest airports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Upgraded Points then analyzed Google and Yelp reviews for each airport, noting mentions of “friendly” or “rude” staff or TSA. Mentions were compared to the total number of reviews to calculate a ratio of positive to negative interactions, with each airport scored on a scale of 0 to 5 based on the ratio of positive mentions for a possible score of 50.
