Helsinki is a wonderful little city with plenty of affordable places to stay. If you’re having a hard time nailing down a hotel near the city center, here are a few places to consider.
Hotel Glo
Hotel Glo appeals to the ritzy traveler looking for a high-end experience located near some of the city’s best shopping. The design of the hotel is meant to resemble that of Louis Vuitton luggage, while the on-site spa provides plenty of relaxation.
Klaus K
Klaus K is a hip, modern hotel with rooms modeled after the Finnish epic poem “Kavala,” so it’s truly a unique experience. It comes equipped with a nightclub and bar that stay open late, as well as three separate restaurants.
Solo Sokos Hotel Torni
Solo Sokos Hotel Torni was the city’s first true skyscraper and, as such, provides some of the city’s best views. It’s only 14 floors high, but that’s more than enough to accommodate plenty of guests. The 1930s architecture is a real treat.
Hotel Katajanokka
Hotel Katajanokka boasts an incredibly chic design in the midst of what used to be a prison. That’s definitely something you don’t see every day. It boasts an on-site restaurant, terrace and meeting rooms for those in town on business.
