The Wilderness Festival in Charlbury, England, is a celebration of all things fun, expressive and whimsical. This festival has a bit of everything from live music, theater, sports and yoga to crafts, dancing and dining.
The festival is held on the vast, open grounds of Cornbury Park, a well-maintained space perfect for cricket, yoga, films, concerts and much more. Guests can roam the open space, explore waterfalls, fly fish in the lakes and take in the local scenery on a walk.
While being a well-rounded four-day festival hosting a myriad of events from blind-date boat rides to roller disco and live music, this festival is most famous for its cuisine. The menu is typically eclectic, well thought-out and masterfully prepared by some of London’s top chefs.
By day, the event is family-friendly, but by night is when the Wilderness Festival really comes to life, with adult-only theater performances, mass skinny dipping parties and a grand masquerade ball to close out the festival on Saturday night.
The Wilderness Festival is a product of the Secret Garden Party that took off with families and adults looking to get out, let go and be one with nature. It has garnered the reputation of an elevated festival for the bourgeoisie bohemian.
