The Airports Council International, the trade representative of the world airport authorities, recently released traffic statistics of the world’s busiest airports for passenger traffic in 2016. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport held on to the top spot, boasting more than 104 million passengers in 2016, a 2.6 percent increase over 2015. The report shows overall airport traffic grew 4.7 percent in 2016. Beijing Capital International Airport and Dubai International Airport both held on to their second and third place spots from 2015.
