YOTEL New York teamed up with U.K.-based Rooftop Film Club to host an outdoor film series this summer. Beginning June 3, residents and guests can enjoy their favorite movies on the YOTEL’s Terrace, the largest outdoor hotel space in the city.
The week of June 7 will include a four-day showcase of classics including Ghostbusters, Manhattan, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Birdman. As this is the Rooftop Film Club’s U.S. debut, these movies will play in New York and London in tandem.
Throughout the summer, other screening will include The Goonies, The Usual Suspects, The Big Lebowski, Top Gun and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Chick Flick Tuesdays will feature movies like Dirty Dancing, Casablanca and Pretty Woman.
Tickets cost $15 per person for general admission; for $25, admission includes a taco and a sangria or beer. Screenings will take place four nights a week, Sundays through Wednesday, through June 30. Doors open at 6 p.m. and movies begin at 8:30 p.m. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase. The series boasts state-of-the-art equipment, high-quality headphones and comfortable seats.
