Under $100 / North America

Princeton, N.J., a small, historic, quaint town, is surrounded by the famous Princeton University. With stone engulfed in ivy, the castle-like university couldn’t be located in a more ideal location.

From Princeton’s downtown business district, charming shops, renowned museums and delectable dining options, it’s no wonder parking is rather difficult in the busy city.

Start off your day with a stroll around the historic campus and borough to explore the city’s history.

Refuel at PJ’s Pancake House, serving a variety of delectable pancakes like Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Oreo, Potato Pancakes, Tiramisu or a Pancake Sampler, choosing three different style pancakes. Order three pancakes for a half order starting at $6.95, or splurge for the full five starting at $8.95. If pancakes aren’t your thing, order something sweeter like Fresh Strawberry and Cannoli Cream French Toast for $11.95.

Catch an afternoon film at The Princeton Garden Theatre, a quaint landmark, where you’ll find foreign and popular films. General admission tickets are $11, while student tickets are priced at $8.

For a filling, casual dinner, stop at Hoagie Haven, an institution since the 1970s. Hoagie Haven was the first to serve up large hoagies in the Princeton area. The shop offers an array of sandwiches with an immense amount of toppings. Order half of the Sanchez with chicken cutlet, American cheese, mozzarella sticks, fries and Sanchez sauce for $6.25, or the whole for $11.50. If that doesn’t sound appetizing, attempt the Body Bag with cheesesteak, hash browns, egg, ketchup and hot sauce, $7 for the half and $13 for the whole sandwich.

End your day at Triumph Brewery with locally grown food, craft beer, live music and pub games. If you stop by during happy hour, pints are $4. Choose from a variety of beer offered on tap, as it’s constantly changing.

United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
