A part of the Seattle metro, Snohomish County, Wash., proves you don’t have to go into Seattle to enjoy all the great aspects of Washington State. With access to Puget Sound, the Cascade Mountains and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, this area boasts wonders for the nature-loving traveler.

Get outside again and head to Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, one of the most-visited forests in the country. There are plenty of recreational activities to choose from, whether you want to hike, snowshoe, fish, raft, ski or wildlife watch.
