Fujifilm is sponsoring the road trip of a lifetime, a year-long quest for two adventurers to see, explore and photograph every U.S. National Park. They’re calling it The Greatest American Road Trip.
The team Fujifilm chose to undertake this project is made up of Jonathan Irish, a successful travel and outdoor photographer, and Stefanie Payne, a travel writer and previous NASA creative product development lead.
The project’s aim to visit 59 parks in 52 weeks is being executed primarily via an Airstream, plus via plane in order to reach some of the remote and island-bound parks. The trip is based around the seasons, in order to capture the parks in their peak beauty. The schedule has Jonathan and Stefanie starting with parks around the southern tip of Florida, including Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park and Dry Tortugas National Park. They’ll see the Alaskan salmon run in the summer, mountain ranges in the fall and end with the Hawai’ian Islands.
For those who want to follow their journey, their website and social media will contain gallery pages for each park, videos, quotes and great stories about the journey, the parks and the people they meet along the way.
