Nestled in the hills of Malibu Canyon, Malibu Café is a family legacy that attracts Los Angeles natives and visitors alike. Most people who visit Malibu think immediately of their beautiful beaches, awesome seafood and high-profile celebrity houses. But tucked away off Kaanon Road is the local gem that will make any foodie fall in love!

Malibu Café is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers lunch and dinner. Even though the food packs enough positive punch to talk about, this place has so much more to offer. When pulling up to the location, the awesome staff and country-style hospitality greet you immediately. Beware Malibu Café only offers valet parking, so bring some extra cash. Once parked, you walk up a slight incline to the main area where the dining tables are next to campfires and sit under a canopy of lighting fitting for any romantic date. If you aren’t feeling the mood lighting and getting cozy by the fire while you dine, they also have an upper deck with more dining-appropriate tables and a cozy cocktail program.

The best part of this place is by far the ambiance. If you already ate and are just visiting, there are plenty of games on the outskirts of the dining area. Grab a cocktail and play some cornhole, listen to live music and enjoy the vibes. If you need to stretch your legs, Malibu Café also has its own pond right next to the dining area. There are paddleboards for rent, or some great places to snap a picture to remember. This is a must-go date spot for any Southern California local or visitor.
