PeachDish, named for its Atlanta roots, is a meal box subscription that brings seasonal and local ingredients to your doorstep, along with step-by-step ingredients to create southern-inspired dishes with an international flair. The menus available are meant to encourage those who may not be familiar with exotic flavors, or even with the kitchen, to try new skills and new ingredients in a way that’s both not too threatening and not terribly expensive.

PeachDish boxes come with the ingredients and instructions for two meals per week. They offer several meals per week to choose from, two of which are always vegetarian-friendly. The standard box, which is created for two people, is $50 per week, an affordable cost when compared to what other similar subscriptions charge, and less than eating at many of your average neighborhood restaurants. You can, of course, up your amounts to feed a family or guests, with the maximum number of servings per meal offered being eight. You are not required to commit to a membership, and can pay as you go. You can even pay through your Amazon account.

Some of the recent menu items to choose from include both familiar favorites, such as cheeseburgers or chicken and dumplings, as well as newer dishes that novice cooks may not recognize, such as greens and tasso potlikker or potato and chickpea curry.

Ingredients come as whole as possible, so home cooks can really make everything from scratch. No hamburger patties or frozen pizza dough here — no, you’ll be rolling out your own dough and patting down patties. PeachDish also offers individual, locally made items apart from the box subscription, including cookies, candies, condiments, seasonings and more.

Are You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?

Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
