Pinnacle Forest Therapy in Jackson County, North Carolina (near Asheville), offers guided forest therapy tours ending with tea ceremonies. Pinnacle Park is the only certified forest therapy trail in North Carolina.
While you might not be able to bike the entirety of Natchez Trace Parkway (it’s 444 miles across Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee), seeing even just a leg of this historic recreational road is worth your time. The historic travel corridor has been used for more than 10,000 years and is overseen by the National Park Service.
For an animal encounter that’s up close and personal, visit Flamingo Cay while in the Bahamas. The country’s national bird, the flamingo parades around the Baha Mar property each day. Guests can also take part in one-on-one experiences with flamingos, with some of the birds even showing up at select yoga classes.
