Carrying around a bulky wallet during your travels can be bit of a pain, not to mention a safety risk. The outline of your wallet in your back pocket can mark you as an easy target for thieves, or your cash or cards could fall out at any time.
The Wocket Smart Wallet looks to eliminate the need for carrying all cards around at once and instead stores them in one place while also adding more security. Wocket creates electronic versions of your credit cards and stores them in one convenient place. It works by swiping your card into Wocket, which allows it collect the pertinent data and store it to memory. The information is secure and encrypted against hackers.
You can then use Wocket to pay for purchases through a single electronic card stored in the wallet. The smart wallet protects your data by requiring identification before allowing anyone to access the information stored within. It does so through a combination of PIN numbers, biometrics and voice-matching capabilities. Wocket also comes with a nifty barcode scanner to help you retrieve product information and prices.
You can also use it to make purchases online rather than in person. Wocket is currently available at a retail price of $229 online.
