Under $100 / Caribbean

An archipelago located in the Atlantic Ocean, Turks and Caicos is a popular island vacation destination. It’s made up of seven main islands and about 40 smaller islands and uninhabited cays boasting white-sand beaches and turquoise water.

Known for its beaches and outdoor activities, start your day catching some sun on a kayak. Big Blue Unlimited offers a variety of different pricing options, with hourly kayak rentals starting at $15 per hour. Reward yourself with a sweet breakfast at Melt. Try an iced coffee and one of their famous cinnamon buns for about $10–12. Next, visit the Caicos Conch Farm. The only of its kind, the farm offers a 30-minute tour of the facilities including a brief biology lesson and tour of the farm. Adult admission costs $12.

Popular among locals, dine at Mango Reef for lunch. Choose from salads, sandwiches or heartier platters. Deep-fried conch fritters are a menu mainstay. Spend about $15 on lunch. Stop by the Turks and Caicos National Museum to learn about the island’s culture, history and environment. General admission is $7 or $5 for hotel guests. If you want to take a souvenir home, stop at Anna’s Art Gallery and purchase a piece of art created by a local artist.

Splurge on dinner and a nightcap at Magnolia Restaurant and Wine Bar. Take in stunning views of the Turtle Cove Marina from the patio. Sesame-crusted seared tuna ($35) is the restaurant’s specialty. After-dinner drinks start at $10.
