Game of Thrones fans gather around their televisions every Sunday night to see what sort of roller coaster ride the show´s writers will take them on each week. The characters develop and shocking twists unfold among some of the world´s most beautiful backdrops. The popularity of the show has spread worldwide, so much that some of the show´s filming locations now host tours for devoted fans, mostly in Spain, Iceland and Croatia. See below for a select few of the best spots to become one with the fantasy world, and start planning your European road trip.
Girona, Spain
The Catalonian city sits approximately 90 miles north of Barcelona and is where Arya underwent battle training in Braavos. A quick half-hour drive east puts travelers at the Mediterranean beaches, coincidentally known as the beaches of Costa Brava.
Croatia
After viewing the site of King´s Landing in Dubrovnik, travel north to visit the Red Keep´s gardens and the Trsteno Arboretum where many clandestine conversations among Cersei, Margaery and Lady Olenna Tyrell have taken place. Head even further north to Krka National Park, which has appeared in many traveling scenes and is a wonder to see on its own.
Iceland
Even without the influx of GOT fans, Iceland has become a bucket list favorite for many travelers. Fans of the show can extend their visit beyond the large cities and Golden Circle by traveling north to Dimmuborgir to view the site of Mance Rayder´s camp, south to Vik to catch sight of the Frostfang Mountains and include a final stop at Vatnajokull National Park (a.k.a. Beyond the Wall), also the home to Europe´s biggest glacier.

Stay at Kona Village on the Big Island of Hawai’i and you may think your experience consists solely of private, residential-style luxury and perhaps the occasional fresh pineapple, but Rosewood Resort has something else a little special. More specifically, Kona Village has its very own Mai Tai Mile, where guests can find four unique and different takes on the Mai Tai.
