Top 5 / North America

New Orleans is known for, among other things, its food scene. The vibrant city is the perfect place for dining al fresco. Here are suggestions of can’t-miss outdoor dining spots.

Bacchanal Wine

This wine store and eatery is home to one of the city’s most charming outdoor spaces. Located in the Bywater neighborhood, the courtyard boasts a variety of seating arrangements and a small stage for live performances. Grab a glass (or bottle) of wine from the wine store and place your food order, which will be delivered to you as you enjoy the atmosphere.

Bayou Wine Garden

This intimate neighborhood wine bar and kitchen is located in the Mid City section of New Orleans. Adjoining its sister bar, Bayou Beer Garden, the restaurant features more than 30 rotating wines on tap and a menu specializing in house-made charcuterie. The secluded courtyard is ideal for small groups.

Brennan’s

Brennan’s is a New Orleans institution and the birthplace of the world-famous bananas foster dessert. The elegant eatery features an interior courtyard, perfect for enjoying fresh air while dining on iconic dishes.

Café Amelie

Another French Quarter spot, Café Amelie is located in the 150-year old Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House. The romantic setting matches elegant Louisiana dishes with signature cocktails. Reservations are recommended.

Sylvain

Located in an old carriage house, the gastropub is a quiet oasis in the middle of the French Quarter. Enjoy elevated bar food and classic cocktails from the intimate courtyard. Perfect for a date night.
