Tips / Destination

Taking a late breakfast known as brunch has become a favorite weekend pastime for many millennials in cities around the world.

Everywhere you go it is seemingly impossible to avoid special brunch offers, and while brunch isn’t a traditional part of the Catalonian culinary day, Barcelona’s restaurant scene is increasingly seizing on the trend.

At Federal Café, you can indulge in some restorative treats including sausage and eggs, sandwiches, juices and milkshakes. The refined interior is so achingly cool it could be the hipster joint of any major city.

Over at Milk it is normally the excellent cocktails that bring in the punters, but the excellent brunch has become a major draw. That’s not to say you can’t have a cocktail with your brunch though.

However, if you are looking for something healthier, Tonka might be more appropriate. With muesli and homemade bread and cakes, this charming spot has built a loyal following.

To continue the health kick, The Juice House is also a great option. If you’re serious about clean living, or just fancy something different, you can tuck in to dishes such as oatmeal pancakes with chia seeds or salmon on toast.

For a more traditional brunch fix, head to Granja Petitbo. Here you will find classics like the full English breakfast, pancakes and other delights to help you start your day.

It might not yet be the locals’ favorite meal of the day, but brunch in Barcelona has a lot to offer.

Massive Resort Planned for Florida’s Forgotten Coast

Known as Florida’s Forgotten Coast, this stretch of the Florida Panhandle is often overlooked for more well-known destinations in the state, such as Panama City Beach, Miami and Tampa. But the region’s quiet and laid-back atmosphere slowly draws travelers wishing to escape the crowds and high prices of Florida’s other cities, and one hospitality brand just announced plans to bring a 55-acre resort and community to the area.
