When planner shopping, you have to oh-so-carefully compare and contrast features. You have to weigh the benefits carefully. After all, buy the wrong one and your entire year is messed up. If you’ve seen the Passion Planner, you’ve likely thought it’s a bit intimidating, but it is easy once you get the hang of it.
Every day is broken out into half-hour segments, and the planner encourages you to set goals for weeks and months, both personal and professional. It also inspires you to think about your long-term goals, those that require baby steps through each week of the year in order to reach the overarching goal.
It also gives you a place to reflect on all the good things that happened in a week (instead of just seeing where you failed to complete a task). Each day and week has a “focus,” whether you want to focus on a task or just a general overall mood or personal goal. It also breaks down weekly to-do lists into high and low priority, both personal and professional. For each week, there’s an inspiring quote and a challenge to go with it.
However, while the Passion Planner is focused on organization and concrete goal-setting, it also allows for some “fun” space. If you’re the type of person to decorate your planner with washi tape and doodles, the Space of Infinite Possibility provided as a large blank square for each week will give you plenty of room to express yourself without running out of the room to record errands and tasks.
There are several different versions to choose from, but all are pretty affordable. There are dated, undated and academic varieties, for how you’d like your dates split up. You can also go with either the classic or compact size.
Covers range in color and design, but all are relatively minimalistic.
The planners start at $25.
