St. Regis Venice’s Arts Bar reimagines its cocktails by matching drinks with artists, like its new cocktail, AW Vision, paying homage to the Chinese heritage of Ai Weiwei by using Baijiu rice wine. Every detail of the libation is inspired by the artist, from the ingredients to the custom-created glassware.
Art history runs deep at St. Regis Venice, with striking, modern interiors. The property hosted impressionist painter Claude Monet in 1908, currently runs an artist-in-residence program and commissioned a centerpiece chandelier from Weiwei.

And the trend continues at Arts Bar. Other artist-inspired drinks on offer include The Negroni Desire, taking its cues from Salvador Dali and featuring dark, smoky flavors and premium liquors; The Graffiti, a nod to the elusive Banksy, infused with mezcal; and Britannia 1201, inspired by Monet and a favorite of Vermouth enthusiasts.
Make your own AW Vision at home with this recipe:
AW Vision
30 ml Baijiu Chinese rice wine (fat-washed with sunflower oil)
20 ml roasted pineapple and black pepper shrub
15 ml select bitter
10 ml citric acid
Shake all the ingredients and pour into the Berengo glass purposely made for this drink or your own elegant glassware.
