If you loved Disney’s recent hit film Encanto, you’ll want to add this new travel experience to your travel wish list. Luxury tour provider Zicasso now offers an eight-day, Encanto-inspired experience in Colombia.
Guests will stay at Cannua Lodge, a sustainable, eco-friendly luxury property in the Antioquian Mountains, as well as at Hacienda Bambusa, in Armenia, Colombia. The former offers an exclusive, intimate stay, with its 10 rooms and eight bungalows featuring balconies and valley views. On-site activities include birding workshops, coffee-tasting workshops, hiking and rum tastings. Hacienda Bambusa similarly only offers eight bedrooms, for a small, inn-style experience, with guestrooms overlooking the gardens and pool.
Tour activities are inspired by film characters Antonio, Isabela, Louisa, Tia Pepa, Bruno and more. Visit the botanical gardens in Medellin, taste-test traditional Colombian meals, take a dance class, learn about Columbian history and clothing, enjoy a Silletero excursion and climb to the top of La Piedra.
While the itinerary and tours are designed with traveling families in mind, Zicasso’s tours can be customized to fit individual traveler preferences and interests.
Currently, Colombia is open to American visitors, and COVID-19 vaccinations are not required for entry into the country. However, proof of vaccination is required in certain public spaces, such as at museums and hotels.
