Tips / Travel

It is safe to say local beer and craft brews are having their moment in the sun. Beer connoisseurs are constantly seeking the next best blend and may even take part in the brewing process themselves. The opportunities for signature beers are endless, and the next up-and-coming beer cities are just a keg pump away from a title of best beer town in the U.S.A.

Salt Lake City, Utah

The craft brew scene in Utah is not only growing tremendously, it´s also environmentally friendly. Uinta Brewery is powered by the sun and wind, and pours more than 20 delectable varieties. Epic Brewing serves their beers in 22-ounce mugs, taking the craft brew trend to a new level of consumption.

Memphis, Tenn.

Located at the mouth of the South, this smaller Tennessee town jumped on the brewery bandwagon by installing kegs and taps at local grocery stores so shoppers can fill up their growlers. Restaurants host beer dinners and events where diners can meet the brewers and down brews that pair perfectly with the world-famous barbecue.

Boise, Idaho

Both large- and small-batch breweries have sprouted in Idaho´s capital where beer lovers flock to mosey along the Boise Ale Trail and taste some of the country´s best. Stop by well-known Sockeye for seasonal barleywine ales and stouts.

Toronto, Ontario

Although not part of the United States, Toronto is home to more than 30 microbreweries and beer pubs such as Indie Ale House, where IPAs are brewed in blood orange and tequila beer barrels.
