The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are unusual devices, different from their predecessors. Now with the best performance and battery life, new finishes, water resistance and stereo speakers, it’s no wonder why this is a popular model — did we mention the notable camera?

The phone improved front and rear cameras with excellent optical image stabilization to deliver photos in low light. The faster processing system allows for a slightly better battery life; the iPhone 7 is up to two hours longer than the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 7 Plus is up to one hour longer than the iPhone 6s Plus, and comes with more onboard storage than last year’s models for the same price. Both phones are the same height, width and depth as their predecessors; however the iPhone 7s and 7 Pluses weigh a bit less.

There are some pitfalls to the new and improved iPhone 7 with the obvious being there is no headphone jack — say goodbye to all of your favorite and expensive headphones. The phone does come with EarPods with a lighting connector, a lighting to USB cable, a 5W USB power adapter and a lighting to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter. The click-free home button takes getting adjustment. The 7 Plus is the only one to have a super cool dual camera. There are several color options, gold, rose gold, silver, black and shiny jet black; the shiny jet black version scratches easily.

The iPhone 7’s camera, battery and water resistance are worthwhile improvements. However, do you really want a phone without a headphone jack? Do you really need to spend $649 for the iPhone 7 or $769 for the iPhone 7 Plus? The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus come in three capacity sizes: 32 GB, 128 GB and the all-new 256 GB.
