Atlantis Resorts have made a name for themselves in the world of luxury travel. The resort chain will continue this pursuit with the construction of its most expensive project to date: a $2 billion resort in Hawai’i, the company’s first property in the United States.
With established properties in the Middle East and China, Atlantis decided to break ground in the States in one of the most sought-after destination spots for travelers from the mainland. The company has set aside nearly 15 acres of land to construct a hotel, condominium and timeshare units. The Hawai’i property will almost be a replicated version of their property in Dubai, with similar attractions including an interactive aquarium, a water park with slides and rides for guests of all ages, world-class dining, shopping and nearly every service you may need while away from home.
Although all luxurious and necessary amenities will be available on-site, guests are encouraged to leave the resort to explore the nature and beauty of the island. Organized tours and excursions will be offered by the resort including hiking trips, deep-sea diving and surf lessons.
Originally introduced in 2005 and after years of speculation, the idea will take even more time to conceptualize, construct and hopefully open to visitors from all over the world within the next decade.
