For the best sunset views and excellent food at the Jersey Shore, I always head to Beach Creek, nestled right along the bay in Wildwood, N.J.
On my first trip there this summer, I enjoyed a selection of delicious light bites and drinks from the restaurant’s extensive menu, offering fresh raw bar options, a number of appetizers, several entrees and desserts. The popular restaurant is always mobbed on summer weekends, so we settled at the spacious bar for our meal.
Paired with my mojito, my dining companion and I feasted on clams casino, featuring fresh clams baked with an indulgent applewood smoked bacon compound butter and parmesan bread crumbs; crispy coconut shrimp, baked in a light but tasty coconut batter served with a zesty mango dipping sauce; and creamy Old Bay crab dip, boasting fresh blue crab claw meat with crunchy crostinis for dipping.
While watching the sunset, snacking and daydreaming about which one of the boats docked on the nearby marina we’d like to have one day, we also enjoyed live entertainment from a fun one-man band. In addition to friendly service and top-notch food unlike other typical beach food, Beach Creek also offers nightly entertainment featuring performers from around the area.
