Don’t be fooled by the cute and unassuming exterior of Munich’s Creperie Bernard Bernard. This eatery offers a variety amazing crepes, from savory to sweet. Often called the best in town, Creperie Bernard Bernard has been a staple for decades, whether you prefer your crepes with salmon and spinach or oozing with fruit and covered in sugar.
Another favorite is Tram Café. The café was created from a restored tramcar. You can pick and choose your favorite ingredients to make an individualized crepe of your choosing, whether salty, sweet or spicy. There are tons of options to choose from, whether you like veggies, cheese and ethnic ingredients or cookies, chocolates and caramel. These crepes are best enjoyed with a steaming cup of the café’s espresso.
A popular French-inspired eatery, Creperie Cabus offers a small and intimate setting. They provide a plentiful variety of crepes, along with other menu options to choose from, if your traveling companions aren’t quite into trying every crepe option in Bavaria.
In Nuremburg, you’ll find La Creperie du Chateau, where guests can enjoy traditional Provence crepes with only a few other diners. The small eatery has outdoor seating in the summer and offers a lovely menu of cocktails as well.
Of course, you’ll also find plenty of traveling creperies throughout the Bavarian region, popping up on busy streets, at parks and at large events. A favorite is GeniesserStadl, which serves all kinds of great crepes, in addition to more traditional waffles and other street foods.
