This small chain of ramen restaurants has taken London by storm, serving noodle soups, poke bowls and bao as part of a pan-Asian menu that includes some of the foods of the moment.
I tried the Bermondsey branch, which sits in a railway arch not far from London Bridge. It’s a post-industrial space commonly used for trendy restaurants in many cities, but here it doesn’t feel contrived.
Everything is stripped back and there is no fuss, just good food. A chicken katsu bao proves a fantastic way to start a meal, and the pork belly ramen that follows is well stocked and intensely flavored.
Ramen joints are ten-a-penny in London these days, but Bone Daddies stands out for being a step above mega-chains like Wagamama without pushing prices too far into premium territory. It’s a casual place where you can sink a few beers while you eat, and still come out with some change.
We paid around $40 per head for a starter, main course and two beers, which seemed like good value. There are now six Bone Daddies restaurants in London, and the company also opened two spin-off izakaya restaurants known as Flesh & Buns and a general restaurant called Shack-Fuyu in Soho.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network. The airline added new non-stop flights between Newark (EWR) and Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco; Tokyo (NRT) and Cebu (CEB), Philippines; and Houston (IAH) and Medellin (MDE), Colombia.
