Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

One of the best things about having a pet is experiencing life’s little joys together, which can often include holidays and vacations. But animals aren’t always allowed to visit where humans can, especially when it comes to resorts or fancy hotels. Disney World Resort in Florida plans to change this by allowing park-goers to bring their dogs with them to select areas of the theme park.

As of October 2017, dog owners can bring their four-legged friends to Disney World as part of a pilot program that launched at four of the theme park’s resorts, including Disney’s Art of Animal Resort, Port Orleans Riverside Resort, Yacht Club Resort and the cabins at Disney’s Ft. Wilderness Resort. The grounds of these resorts will feature pet-walking areas with ample green park space for pets to roam and relieve themselves. The rooms allow for a maximum of two dogs per room, and the base prices for the rooms range $50–75 per night.

Other guests staying at the resort who have allergies or animal aversions can still enjoy the resort, as only certain areas will be designated as pet-friendly.

Upon checking in, pets will receive a welcome kit with water and food bowls, an ID tag and dog walking maps for the resort. If owners want to explore other areas of the park that are not pet-friendly, each resort will have on-site pet daycares to take care of animals while the owners are away.

To stay at each resort with their furry friends, guests must pay an additional cleaning fee.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
