In recent years, the Selfie Stick and GoPro changed the way we travel and capture memories. Although fairly compact, these two devices can add even the tiniest amount of bulk to your luggage. Polaroid developed an alternative — a much, much smaller alternative.

The new Polaroid Cube may only be 35 millimeters (1.4 inches) but it captures high-definition photos with six megapixels as well as high-definition videos. The rubber exterior prevents any damage from dropping the tiny cube or unpredictable weather disturbances. An internal magnet means you can attach the cube to your bike handles or stack a few cubes together. Stick the cube on your helmet the next time you go mountain biking to shoot video of the riveting trails, or wear the cube on your ski helmet or ski poles for a unique perspective of the black diamond slopes.

A wide-angle lens scans across 124 degrees ensuring coverage of images far and near. Videos can be enhanced with the aid of a built-in microphone and an LED light to help illuminate darker scenes. The cube is also equipped with a battery that lasts for 90 minutes of recording.

The Polaroid Cube can be purchased on Amazon for $99. Micro SDHC cards can also be bought on Amazon. Accessories like mounts, tripods and extension handles are available to purchase to enhance your video-taking capabilities.
