If you find yourself in Coronado, California, this Halloween season, there’s one place you’ve got to go to celebrate: the National Historic Landmark and haunted Hotel del Coronado. This gorgeous property on the beach is packed with spooks.

On (fittingly) Friday, Oct. 13, guests can attend a special séance and tour focused on Kate Morgan, the hotel’s most famous ghost, who died under mysterious circumstances in the late 1800s. The tour takes guests to Morgan’s room.
More seances will take place on Oct. 27, again, with a focus on Kate Morgan, but also on the art of the Victorian séance.
Other tours are also available throughout the month, such as the Room 502 tour, which takes you to what was historically staff housing but which is now one of the hotel’s most haunted spots. A paranormal tour focuses in on a famous 1992 paranormal investigation that took place at the hotel and captured 10,000 hours of content and more than 400 ghostly phenomena in Room 502.

Prefer your spooks with a side of sweetness? Nightly throughout the month of October, the hotel hosts Ghost Roasts, during which guests can enjoy a lively campfire setting, s’mores and curated ghost stories from the hotel’s archives. Reservations are required.
