The iconic prison was once home to legendary crime boss Al Capone. While the prison no longer houses criminals, it now hosts a haunted attraction during Halloween season, Terror Behind the Walls. Prepare to be scared while roaming the creepy halls of the former prison.
THE GLOW: A Jack O’Lantern Experience
Perfect for families, the seasonal jack o’lantern show in Philadelphia’s West Fairmount Park features more than 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins. Open Thursday–Sunday, tickets are required for entrance.
Learn more about Philadelphia’s haunted history on a Grim Philly tour. The walking tours cover a variety of subjects including tales of local serial killers and famous ghosts. Pricing, frequency and duration differ.
For free fall fun, stop by the South Street Pumpkin Fest. This year’s event will be held Oct. 28. The festival takes over Headhouse Plaza offering visitors music, shopping and activities for the whole family. There is no admission fee.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
