Charging a Phone With Your Bare Hands

Products / Travel

Traveling comes with many inconveniences, one of which is finding places to charge your electronics. Wall chargers are hard to come by, especially ones that work with every charger, and portable charging devices aren’t always easy to take along. That’s why the AMPware Case is a great alternative.

The easy-to-use charging case for the iPhone 6 works by way of kinetic hand cranking in order to give a boost to your mobile device. It eliminates the need for a charging adapter and can be used on the spot, even in the most remote regions of the world. It’s perfect for the traveler who finds himself constantly on the move or anyone who just wants a convenient way to charge his iPhone when not at home.

It produces up to one amp of power depending on how hard and often you want to crank, which should be enough to keep you going in a tough spot. The polycarbonate case is strong enough to protect your phone in a drop. It has a couple of downsides, though. There’s no screen protector so you’ll have to buy that separately and it can get tedious if you use it as your only source of energy.

Otherwise, it’s a handy little device that’ll keep your iPhone running in a pinch. As of now, there’s only one design for the iPhone 6 and 6S, but that might change in the future. It retails online for around $90.
