If you’ve done even a little research into a Hawai’ian vacation, you likely know touring a pineapple farm is one of the most in-demand activities to enjoy while on the islands. However, Dole takes the average pineapple farm tour to the next level with its new Dole North Shore Pineapple Farm Tour. The tour strives to be hands-on and authentic for a more immersive experience.
“With the renewed interest in agriculture and food tourism, there has been a growing demand by locals and visitors to see, touch and taste an authentic slice of Hawaii,” said Dan Nellis, general manager, Dole Food Company Hawaii. “We launched the Dole North Shore Pineapple Farm Tour to share our history and to give guests a chance to follow the pineapple-growing process from seed to fruit for the first time.”
During the tour, guests are shuttled from their Waikiki hotel to the pineapple fields in Wahiawa. There, they follow the full lifecycle of Dole’s Royal Hawaiian pineapples over the course of a day. At the end of the tour, travelers leave with a fresh pineapple to enjoy later.
The tour is offered most weekdays and on select holidays. When booking online, use code DOLE20 to save 20 percent on tour tickets.
