Often when camping, especially backpacking, sore muscles need a comfortable place to rest. And, unless you’re planning to lug a heavy chair into the backcountry, it’s often hard to find the relaxation needed.
There are several packable camp chairs on the market, but most aren’t light enough to justify taking them on extended hikes. The Crazy Creek Hex 20 camp chair is one exception.
The chair weighs just 1 pound, 5 ounces, making it ideal for carrying with other gear. The durable chair is made with carbon fiber stays and heavy-duty nylon webbing for excellent support. It can hold up to 250 pounds in weight capacity.
The chair rolls into a four-inch log, again making it perfect for strapping to a backpack or stowing in a bag. The bag includes a roll-up strap for easy storing and a hang loop for carrying. The chair is made of a thick foam that provides insulation against a cold ground, as well as ripstop nylon to protect against moisture.
The chair can also be laid flat to double as a sleeping pad if you’re hoping to eliminate a piece of gear when backpacking.
