Citymapper is a mobile app that makes that problem disappear with a few clicks on your smartphone.

Upon downloading the free app to your Smartphone, simply enter your starting point followed by your destination, and in a matter of seconds, suggestions appear for every possible mode of travel. Transit options include walking, bicycle, taxi, metro and more. If you choose to travel by metro or subway, the app will even recommend the best car in which to ride so when you arrive at your destination, you will be closest to the exit, minimizing travel time. If you do not need to depart straight away, you can program your estimated departure time and Citymapper will adjust its timetables.

When you have settled on your preferred method of travel and decide to share this method with others, Citymapper lets you share your route via Facebook, Twitter or email so tthe people you are meeting will know when to expect you.
