Luckily for those curious about this commodity, hotels are prepping their rooms for one-day stays as a means to target business travelers or others who long for hotel amenities that are a step up from naps on airport benches.

Day stays at hotels are on the rise as travelers who face hours-long layovers seek a place to relax and refresh that is outside the dingy airport walls. Soon, such travelers will be able to check in at the nearest hotel and take advantage of a fresh shower, a nap and maybe even a dip in the hotel pool.

Lower prices are available for day stays so guests won’t need to pay for an entire night since they’re not going to use all the amenities featured in a full stay. If the hotel is equipped with a gym and/or spa, the opportunities to relax and unwind between flights are even more luxurious.
