The laidback beach town of Sayulita has plenty of restaurants and taco trucks, but Don Pato’s stands out.
Sitting on one of the roadside tables in the main square, watch the world go by as you sink a few beers and eat some food. The most famous menu items are the burgers, as our enthusiastic waiter swiftly pointed out, and we were not disappointed.
There are five options and you can get each of them with beef, chicken or mushroom. The portions are huge, and most people struggle to finish a burger and fries. It makes a welcome change from tacos and quesadillas, as well.
Service was fast and friendly, and no one went thirsty. It’s easy to sit here for a while and watch the street life around you, munching on a burger and sipping a burger. While Don Pato’s is far from the cheapest place to eat in town, you’ll be looking at a bill of around $9 for a burger, fries and two beers.
Head off to the beach for a while and come back at night when the upstairs bar turns into one of the best nightspots in town. Highly recommended.
