“Get your motor runnin’, get out on the highway …” Okay, so in this scenario, it’s an electric motor, but, no matter the mode, this new itinerary from Off the Map Travel will fulfill your need for speed. Off the Map Travel’s seven-day Drive the Fjords supercar adventure puts travelers in the driver’s seat of an electric Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo to showcase Norway’s National Tourist Routes in the Fjords.

The emission-free Porsche comes loaded with pre-programmed routes through Norway’s fjords and mountains; the vehicle also includes plenty of space to transfer all travelers need for six days on the open road. The supercar reaches 238 miles on a charge and its built-in “charging planner” calculates the best route based on charge status. Accommodations along the way include eco-toiletries, locally sourced produce and on-site chargers for the vehicle. The itinerary departs June 12, August 7 and September 4, 11 and 18.

Here’s a closer look at the itinerary:
- On day one, arrive in Ålesund, check in at Hotel Brosundet and head out into the fjords to Flatsea lighthouse.
- Day two has travelers meet a driver to transfer to Hotel Storfjord in Storfjord before a welcome cocktail at Lavvu, a traditional Sami tent in the hotel’s pine forests.
- The personal driving adventure begins on day three, along the North Atlantic Overpass; the car is packed with a picnic lunch.
- On day four, head to the mountains of Romsdal, and Troll wall, the highest rock wall in Europe, before descending through the Valdel Valley. Check into Union Oye for dinner.
- Day five brings travelers along the coastline toward Stryn, where lunch and a gondola ride await, before a ferry ride through a fjord.
- Get to know the Sunmore region on day six, where you will visit an island off the west coast for a five-course seafood meal.
- It’s goodbye to the Porsche on day seven, before travelers take a helicopter ride over the roads just traversed.
Pricing starts at around $9,750 per person, including all meals, accommodations, activities, transfers and use of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.

Insta FeedAre You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?
Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
