There’s the option to get a SIM card at the airport when you arrive, to visit a local mobile shop to acquire one or to figure out a strategy before you even leave your house. For those travelers who like to have everything arranged in advance, getting a SIM card before leaving your home country is a wise decision.
A new Smart SIM card from Dual Global Mobile is a SIM card you can order and test out before you even depart for your vacation. The SIM card works in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Japan, the Middle East and Africa, including voice calls, SMS text messages and data for apps like Skype and WhatsApp. Calls with the SIM card to any of these regions start at 1 cent per minute, while incoming calls from more than 120 countries are free. The pay-as-you-go service doesn’t require a contract or any monthly or annual fees, and you can top up the phone using a credit card.
Data use costs 1 cent per MB used, and there are no roaming charges if you happen to leave a service area. The SIM also works at sea for those who want to use the service on a cruise.
Users of the SIM card will be able to set up two telephone numbers: one with a U.S. country code (+1) and one with a U.K. country code (+44).
