Tips / Travel

You don’t need a cash back credit card to earn cash back as you book travel. Giving Assistant helps you earn cash back on your purchases (not just travel, either) with whatever form of payment you’re already using.

Use Giving Assistant to book travel items with more than 50 travel merchants. These range from small, individual tour providers to destination-specific providers to big brands like booking.com or Expedia. You can also earn by booking directly with airlines or hotel brands, such as Lufthansa or Marriott. While you’re at it, you can browse through Giving Assistant’s regularly posted discounts on airfare, hotels and car rentals.

Just install the browser button as an extension on your browser and you’re good to go. As you shop, you’ll earn cash back and you can choose to receive your payment as either a PayPal payment or an eCheck.

However, it’s the rest of the story that sets Giving Assistant apart from other services similar to this, like Rakuten.

When you use Giving Assistant, you can choose to donate a portion or all of your cash back to your favorite charity. It makes giving easy (hence the name Giving Assistant) and something you don’t even have to think about. Already, Giving Assistant has resulted in more than $5 million in donations for non-profits around the country. There are more than 22,000 non-profits for you to choose to donate to and the donation is made automatically, once you’ve chosen your preferred giving amount and recipient.

So, stop feeling guilty about not making those donations to charity. Install Giving Assistant and you’ll make regular gifts with no extra effort required.

Massive Resort Planned for Florida’s Forgotten Coast

Known as Florida’s Forgotten Coast, this stretch of the Florida Panhandle is often overlooked for more well-known destinations in the state, such as Panama City Beach, Miami and Tampa. But the region’s quiet and laid-back atmosphere slowly draws travelers wishing to escape the crowds and high prices of Florida’s other cities, and one hospitality brand just announced plans to bring a 55-acre resort and community to the area.
