Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

With the summer opening of Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney park to open in the past 10 years, visitors are clamoring to become one of the first guests inside the park´s walls. Visitors to the park will need to keep in mind they are obligated to adhere to the resort´s recently released etiquette guide, a list of lightly enforced rules all guests must follow to enjoy a peaceful and pleasant visit.

The park held a soft opening in May during which visitors vandalized various structures and left trash scattered around the park. As a response, Shanghai Disney Resort combined efforts with the tourism bureau to develop a list of six rules by which all visitors must abide in order to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the park for all current and future guests.

The rules include basic anti-vandalism statutes instructing guests refrain from littering, wandering off the designated paths and damaging park property such as buildings and gardens. Other rules prohibit guests from cutting in line for rides, engaging in rowdy behavior and lying down on the ground. Although some of these rules may seem a bit unnecessary (e.g., lying on the ground), Shanghai Disney hopes the regulations will encourage guests to treat the park with care and enjoy the best possible experience for themselves and all guests in the future.
