Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

Since 1988, Maastricht hosted the world’s pre-eminent arts and antiques fair each year.

In 2017, the event will run from March 10–19, welcoming the top art dealers and experts from around the globe, as well as buyers and, of course, window shoppers like you and me.

Over the course of the fair, around 75,000 people come to see exhibits from more than 250 of the leading art galleries from more than 20 countries. With hundreds of experts vetting the exhibits, you can be sure all of them are of the highest possible quality.

Thanks to this strict vetting process, TEFAF has become known as one of the most important art fairs in the world. If you’ve not got the spare cash to invest in any of the works, simply come for a look around.

The event will be held at the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Center, close to the center of the Dutch city. It is one of the oldest cities in the country, with plenty of historic sites to explore.

After TEFAF, get some fresh air on a stroll around the old city walls or take a cruise down the Meuse River. Maastricht lies between Belgium and Germany and is within easy reach of Brussels, Antwerp and Cologne.

While there are non-stop flights to Maastricht from a small number of European cities, the best way to reach the city is via one of the nearby gateways.
