Cotton District Arts Festival – Starkville

On Sept. 23, the Cotton District Art Festival blends art, music and food, offering a way to experience the creative arts scene of Starkville and surrounding areas. With more than 150 artisans, a writers’ village and restaurant competitions, guests are bound to see why it’s one of the state’s most beloved festivals.

Bricks and Spokes Bicycle Ride- Vicksburg

On Oct.7, Vicksburg welcomes wanderers on two wheels with a unique opportunity to explore the history and beautiful terrain of Vicksburg National Military Park at the 13th annual Bricks and Spokes Bicycle Ride. Vicksburg played a huge role during the Civil War Battle of Vicksburg and is honored by the beautiful national park set on the rolling bluffs of the Mississippi and Yazoo Rivers. Cyclists and spectators alike can immerse themselves in the fascinating overlap of history and nature.

 

Sanderson Farms PGA Golf Tour – Jackson

The Sanderson Farms PGA Golf Tour attracts some of the world’s best golfers and fans annually. Known for its competitive nature and beautiful courses, the tournament held Oct. 2–8 offers an exciting showcase of skills for golf enthusiasts and casual spectators.

Natchez Balloon Festival – Natchez

Since 1986, the Natchez Balloon Festival has filled historic downtown Natchez with hot-air balloons, local live music, and art and food vendors. Visitors can savor fall weather and activities such as the evening balloon glow, fireworks and carnival rides, all while taking in spectacular views of the Mississippi River.

 

Y’all Means All – Natchez

This LGBTQIA+- friendly festival celebrates the diversity of Natchez’s community while raising funds for non-profit organizations dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health counseling. Events include Drag Queen Bingo, a welcome reception and a Speakeasy After-Party.
