If you’re like me you probably can’t stand the feel of cloth on your face when you’re trying to sleep; it feels a little suffocating, right? Well, it looks like there’s finally an alternative for folks who want to block out a little more light when trying to sleep on a plane: Blackout Bands.
The gnarly glasses use UV-protected lenses in a polycarbonate frame to block out 98 percent of the light received by your eyes. Now it’ll just feel like you’re snoozing with a pair of shades on your face. If you want to feel extra stylish you can also purchase a pair of Blackout Buds for your ears, but they don’t seem to be noise-canceling. We’re not sure what the deal is with that, but they do look pretty sweet.
The Blackout Bands are also a great tool for when you’re stuck in a room with someone who bores you to tears. Just slap on a pair of these guys and you can sleep while he drones on and on and he’ll never know the difference! Just kidding, that’s pretty rude. We won’t judge, though.
The glasses work both at night and during the day, so they’re great if you’re stuck in a row with someone who refuses to put down the window shade. You can order online here.
