Folding up into a pretzel to try to sleep on a plane, train or in the uncomfortable seats of an airport terminal is nothing short of excruciating, resulting in strained and sore muscles all throughout the body. C-shaped travel pillows are one way to fight the never-ending battle of the perfect in-transit sleep position, but they are not always the best alternative. A different kind of travel pillow plays on the word pretzel and offers travelers a new way to repose.

The flexible Pretzel Pillow is a new travel accessory idea that involves folding and bending the limbs of a soft, pretzel-shaped cushion into an easy-to-pack sleeping aid. Picture an upside-down pretzel where the head can fit through the widest opening and two arms can slide through the two symmetrical openings. The head is then able to rest on either side of the body and the arms can rest comfortably on the traveler´s lap.

The Pretzel Pillow can be folded and molded into any arrangement that provides the most comfort for the traveler. The main difference between this inventive pillow and the standard pillows currently on the market is the resting places for arms, a body part that is normally wedged against an airplane window or fighting for space on a shared arm rest.

Although not yet approved for mass production, the Pretzel Pillow may be the next carry-on necessity for frequent flyers.
