Football season is in full effect, which means so is tailgating. There is something about football that just makes for a great tailgate. Not all are the same, but make sure you have these essentials to have the best one yet.
Games
You can’t have a tailgate without games. One of the most popular is corn hole. It can get any party started and is a guaranteed hit.
If everyone in your group is of age, other good tailgate activities are drinking games. Beer pong is the most popular; make sure you have some red solo cups and ping pong balls. Another fun drinking game people enjoy is flip cup. Split your group into two even teams and go head to head to see who can get all their cups flipped the fastest.
Must Haves
A tailgate isn’t complete without music, no matter what genre. Make sure someone in your group brings some kind of speaker to help amp your tailgate.
Another must have is folding tables. These come in handy for a bunch of things. They provide a place to put out food and are great for those drinking games.
Depending where you are from, it might get a little chilly during football season, so make sure you have warm clothes, extra layers and maybe even some hand warmers or a portable heater to fight off the cold.
Food
You can’t have a tailgate without snacks. Whether you have a full-blown meal or light snacks make sure you have something other than alcohol to fill your stomach.
