In addition to waiting for luggage at the baggage claim, one of the most nerve-inducing aspects of flying is discovering your ever-important seat assignment is in a poor location and has a limited amount of available legroom. Most seasoned travelers know how to book the perfect seat on an airline´s website, but not all plane models are constructed the same way.

Thankfully, a helpful website provides an inside look into each plane´s interior and provides travelers with the best seating suggestions based on their personal needs.

SeatGuru.com lets users search for their specific flight by entering their flight number or (if not easily accessible), their departure airport and arrival airport, as well as their date of travel. An easy-to-read map appears with a color-coded system to indicate good seats, bad seats and seats about which travelers should ¨be aware¨ and consult the comments.

Visitors to SeatGuru´s website also are informed about the in-fight amenities including entertainment options (e.g., the number of movie options) and in-seat charging capabilities.

The Seat Guru comments include insight into aspects of the plane that may restrict legroom or be an issue for disabled travelers. Frequent travelers are able to submit additional comments about specific aircraft to aid travelers in selecting the perfect seat.
